This book started out rocky for me. The multiple points of view made it a little confusing, especially in mid-chapter, with no separation to discern the speaker. However, I did get past that. The author had a great story to tell. I loved the concept, the forbidden love, the twists, and the characters.
I liked the main character, Celeste and the trials she was facing. By the time I finished this book, I was already diving into the second one.
Four glittery stars for the start of the Wilder series!

Wilder The Guardian Series eBook GK DeRosa Reviews
I received a free copy for an honest review. I was enraptured with this story and furious with myself for not having read it sooner. I knew a bit about Celeste, Roman, and Nico from having read Magic Bound so I was happy to know more about their characters. Having said that, I understand Celeste a bit more. And Roman, oh Roman, be still my heart. I look forward to reading more of their story.
I seem to continually buy books about teenagers and their new found supernatural abilities. Almost always it turns out sappy and predictable. I started this novel thinking I would get the same mediocre storyline. I was pleasantly surprised with the writing and the story development. It was still predictable but not saturated in teenage hormones and angst and it had some good action scenes.
I look forward to the next installment.
Loved this book. It was everything I love and enjoy reading. If you like fast paced, paranormal books, with characters that are relatable and real, with the best story line. I highly, recommend this book to you. It's full of emotion, dealing with paranormal, but also real life situations. Teenagers graduating headed into the next chapter of life. New love blooming, against against the norm. I look forward to the rest of this series.
Wilder here offers us her own interesting spin on the idea of a Chosen One (Guardian) destined to battle the forces of evil to protect mankind.
Interesting characters, a lot of action, and a little romance combine to make this novel a good read, despite occasional weaknesses in the copyediting.

In a world of damsels in distress, we need more heroines like Celeste to show young adult readers that girls can kick butt too. Celeste is intelligent, introspective, brave, and incredibly STRONG. She is faced with a destiny that threatens her normalcy and places the protection of humankind in her teenage hands. She is also torn between a best guy friend that she has known her entire life (that professes his unwavering love) and a super mysterious, smokin' hot new guy in town with a secret and a past. Which path will she choose? All I have to say is that I'm buying Book 2 now! -) This is a must-read for all lovers of YA fantasy and romance!
i got this book not really knowing what it was about. a just saw a girl, two brother, love and was like 👍. turns out its about vampires and wizards. not saying that isnt awesome but totally unexpected. while the plot is a tad drawn out the overall premise is pretty solid.
Wilder The Guardian Series by G.K. De Rosa is set in a small town with all the positive and negative aspects that small town living entails.
The book is easy to read, flows smoothly, is interesting with a unique twist. Language is simple as it does cater for the 13+ age group.
The story has interesting characters, lots of action, a hint of romance and includes wizards and vampires.
Told from different POVs, it is a tad confusing at the beginning especially as there is no separation to discern who is the narrator at any given time.
Characters are developing as the story unfolds.
On the whole an interesting read.
